Hi my name's Lucy and I'm the founder and owner of Secret Beauty By Lucy.
How it all began...
I attended The City of Bath College from 2009-2012 studying Level 2 Beauty & Massage Therapy, Level 3 Media Make Up & Facial Electrics and finally Level 3 Spa Therapies.
I have been working in the Hair and Beauty industry for the last 6 years and have worked in a variety of roles such as City centre salons, Hair and Beauty wholesalers and Hair and Beauty training schools/Colleges.
In May 2016 I set up my own home based treatment room in Ruislip. Prior to setting up my business I undertook training with the award winning Eyelash Emporium, I trained at the world famous Pinewood Studios. I've carried out my Individual and Russian Volume course with the Eyelash Emporium and love their in depth theory course contents, Health and safety and practical training.
Further to this I carried out two tanning courses with Sienna X. Sienna X products are leaders in the industry, used by celebrities, featured regularly in the UK’s leading fashion and lifestyle magazines. Their products smell delicious and include a host of natural ingredients like sweet almond oil, Shea butter, ginger extract and calendula. I thoroughly enjoyed my courses, perfected my skills and update my product knowledge.
It is extremely important to train with the best in the industry to ensure you can offer safe, quality treatments to your clients. I am continuously updating my skills to keep up with the current trends within the industry.
The salon is within a 5-10 minute walk from both West Ruislip tube station on the Central line and Ruislip which is on the Piccadilly line.
Free parking is available outside the salon on the crescent, parking directly outside the front of the salon is permit only during certain hours so please read the parking restrictions carefully.

Please read the T&Cs listed below before contacting me for an appointment.
Payment is cash only please, unless otherwise agreed before your appointment.
Cancellation policy
Life can sometimes be unpredictable and cancelling or re arranging appointments cannot be helped.
Please be respectful of my time. I am highly unlikely to fill an appointment slot with less than 24 hours notice.
If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please do so more than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Failure to give 24 hours notice will result in a cancellation fee charge which is 50% of the booked appointment price. This should be paid via bank transfer within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment.
Failure to pay will result in all future appointments being cancelled.
No show policy
If you fail to show up to your appointment without making contact with me, you will be charged the full treatment cost of that missed appointment. This should be paid via bank transfer within 24 hours of your appointment.

Once I have received the payment from a last minute cancellation or missed appointment your next future appointment must be paid in full before an appointment can be made.
It is your responsibility to remember your appointment date and time to avoid missed appointments resulting in a charge. You're always welcome to call or text me to check any appointments if you are unsure.
Appointments times
Please be on time to your appointment. I don't have a waiting room so please ensure you only knock at your appointment time, never earlier as I may still be in a treatment.
You're more than welcome to text me if you arrive early and I may be able to start the treatment earlier If I am not working.
If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment I may not have enough time to complete the treatment to a high standard. I will happily work until your scheduled appointment
time was suppose to finish and you will be charged the amount you were booked in for.
Children and friends
Please do not bring babies, children or friends along with you to your appointment. I wont be able to carry out your appointment with them present. Not only is it distracting for me, but could also potentially be very dangerous with the type of products I work with.
The only exception for this is when an adult is supervising a child (under 18) to their appointment.
Photography
You agree to me taking photos before and after the treatment to use on my website, Facebook or Instagram page for marketing and advertising purposes.
Parking
It is solely your responsibility to read the parking permit signs correctly. If you were to receive a parking ticket, I will not be held responsible in anyway to pay for the parking ticket. You as the customer must ensure you check the parking restrictions. Please ask if you are unsure where to park.
Reactions
Allergies can occur anytime even after a patch test has been carried out. Sometimes it happens straight after the patch test or even up to 48 hours after the patch test. In other situations allergies can develop over time due to being exposed to a product.
I do not offer refunds on any of my treatments as I have followed the correct procedures, manufactures instructions, my training and insurance guidelines. I have also taken time to perform the treatment and used my products.
If you are unhappy with a service I have provided or there has been a reaction or retention issue with your treatment, please send me a message with the description of the problem with some images attached and I will be happy to discus the matter further to help resolve the issue.
In the event of a reaction please seek medical advice first! I cannot diagnose you. Only your GP can do this. I will follow your GPs advice if a reaction occurs.
Please always follow the correct before and after care for the treatment. Failure to follow the correct preparations or aftercare can result in the treatment not working or lasting correctly.
SIENNA X SPRAY TAN
Before
- Exfoliate regularly, especially the night before your tan to remove dry, dead skin to allow the tan to develop evenly. Pay particular attention to the knees, elbows, hands and feet.
- Paint your nails to protect the nails from any staining.
- Wax or shave 24/48 prior to treatment to allow pores time to close.
- On the day of your spray tan please shower before your appointment to remove any moisturiser, perfume, make up and deodorant as they can act as a barrier.
- Tie hair up.
- Remove all jewellery.
- Wear or bring loose, dark, baggy clothing to put on after the tan.
- Remove contact lenses and wear glasses before coming to your appointment.
After
- Avoid excessive exercise, perspiration or getting wet for 8-10 hours.
- Leave the solution on for 8-10 hours.
- When in the shower washing off solution allow the water to run until it runs clear. VERY gently pat the skin instead of buffing it to wash areas. When drying yourself with the towel, again pat skin dry instead of rubbing.
- Avoid soaking or swimming with the tan on as this can fade the tan prematurely.
- Moisturise daily.
- Hands and face fade the quickest due to washing them a lot. Sienna x Gradual glow can be used to maintain and add colour.
- Exfoliate 4-5 days after the spray tan to help the tan fade evenly.
- Always use an SPF.
EYELASH EXTENSIONS
Before
- Remove all eye make up.
- Remove contact lenses and bring glasses for after the appointment. Contact lenses cant be re inserted for 24-48 hours.
- Shower before your treatment as lashes cant get wet for 24 hours after the full set has been applied.
- Wear comfortable clothing as you will be laid down for 2 - 3 1/2 hours.
- Ensure you have eaten and been to the bathroom before getting your lashes done.
During
- Minimal movement and talking throughout lashing so please bring an audiobook, headphones if you wish to listen to music.
- Eyes will be shut throughout the majority of the treatment.
- Must be comfortable lying flat on your back.
After
- Avoid getting lashes wet for 24 hours.
- Avoid Sauna, steam and sunbeds for 24 hours.
- Be careful around ovens/ hairdryers with your lashes as sometimes lashes do get singed.
- Do not touch, rub or pick your lashes.
- Cleanse daily/ every other day depending on skin type with lash cleanser and brush to remove oil, dirt, skin and sleep. This increases the retention of the lashes and also prevents any infections building up around the eye area.
- Brush your lashes once a day when they are dry, with the brush from your appointment.
- Do not use lash curlers on your new lovely lashes.
- AVOID ALL EYE MAKE UP! Wearing any eye make up at all around the eyes will break down the glue bond and will significantly reduce the retention leading to lashes falling out prematurely.
- Be very careful with any eye creams/ serums you put around the eye area. Any oil which touches or comes close to the lashes will soften the bond.
- Lashes are great for holidays, however sometimes the really hot climates or humidity can cause the lashes to come off quicker than if you were back in the UK. Washing lashes twice a day on holiday is recommended, swimming in the sea is advised due to the salt water keeping the lashes clean rather than swimming pool water which contains lots of oils & suncreams. I want you to enjoy your holiday to the maximum, so please don't feel like you cant swim because of your lashes.. these are just some of the reasons if you are wondering why your lashes haven't lasted quite as well on holiday as usual.
-Infills are recommended every 2-3 weeks. Anything over 4 weeks will be a full set.

LASH LIFT AND TINT
Lash lift - 1 Hour

It’s one of the fastest growing treatments in the industry at the moment. With a quick treatment time of one hour and long lasting results from 6-12 weeks. It's great for make up lovers and busy mums who haven't got the time to dedicate to Eyelash extensions. This treatment is suitable for all ages and lashes. The longer the natural lashes the better the results. The lashes are lifted onto a silicon shield, permed into the new lifted position and finished off by tinting the lashes to add length, curl and colour to the natural lashes.
A re lift is suitable from 12 weeks.
A patch test and consultation is required 48 hours prior to your first Lash Lift with myself. A patch test takes 15 minutes and is free of charge.
Children under 18 years of age must have an adult present throughout the whole treatment.
INDIVIDUAL EYELASH EXTENSIONS

Individual or classic eyelash extensions consist of one eyelash extensions being applied to one natural eyelash. This treatment is great for clients who have thick, medium-long natural eyelashes who love a everyday glamours look. Classic Eyelash Extensions can be used to add volume to already long lashes, length to short lashes or to add a curl to very straight lashes. Infills are recommended every 2-3 weeks.
All infills are up to 4 weeks, anything over 4 weeks will be considered a full set due to lash shedding and outgrown lashes which will need removing.
A patch test and consultation is required 48 hours prior to your first full set with myself. A patch test takes up to 30 minutes and is free of charge. Please arrive with no eye make up on.
Children under 18 years of age must have an adult present throughout the whole treatment.
RUSSIAN VOLUME EYELASH EXTENSIONS

Russian volume eyelash extensions are perfect for clients who have thin, sparse natural eyelashes who seek fluffy, full eyelashes. The technique is more complex for Russian volume. A fan of multiple lash extensions (2-5) is made by hand and added to one natural eyelash. These extensions are very thin and light in weight, even though they look heavier infact they normally weigh less or the same as classic eyelash extensions. I stock a variety of curls and lengths to suit my clients eye shape and desired look. Infills are recommended every 2-3 weeks.

SOAK OFF EYELASH EXTENSIONS
Soak Off - 30 mins

It is always advised that when you are ready to say goodbye to your lashes that you book in for a soak off. A gel remover is applied onto the lashes to break down the glue bond and ensures the extension glides off the natural eyelash with no damage caused to the natural lashes.
DEEP CLEANSE FOR EYELASH EXTENSIONS
If you arrive to your appointment with exceptionally dirty lashes covered in make up (which is not recommended)
then the extra time it takes for me to wash your lashes will be taken from your infill time. This will result in less time being used to infill your lashes and more time cleaning them. Please ensure you wash your lashes before every infill appointment to remove natural oil, skin and dirt.
